Olga Portnova. Medvedev turned away Grybauskaite’s invitation

The Russian President Dmitrij Medvedev responded to his Lithuanian colleague Dalia Grybauskaite, who invited him to Lithuania for the celebration of the Independence Day anniversary of the Republic. The Russian leader thanked her for the invitation, however, replied he is not available for the visit due to his busy working schedule.
At the events in Vilnius, as reported by the agency, Russia will be represented by Igor Levitin, the RF Transport Minister.
In his letter to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite, Medvedev extended his greetings on the coming anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic, and invited, subsequently, Dalia Grybauskaite to visit Russia at her convenience. According to the information of the agency, soon the coordination of the dates for the visit will start.
The 11 March 2010 is the 20th anniversary of signing the Independence Act of Lithuania. Lithuania was the first among the former Republics of the USSR to announce its independence.
