Uzbekistan and Lithuania held bilateral inter-ministerial political consultations

On 25 – 26 October the delegation of the Republic of Lithuania, headed by Evaldas Ignatavicius, vice-minister of foreign affairs, visited Uzbekistan for participating at the third round of Uzbek-Lithuanian inter-ministerial political consultations, as reported by the press service of the Uzbek foreign policy authority to the correspond of IA Regnum.
According to the words of the representative of the agency, the negotiations between the foreign policy authorities of the two states covered the issues related with the development of bilateral relations in the political, commercial-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. E. Ignatavicius stressed that Lithuania is highly appreciating the relations of partnership established between the two countries and is in favour for further dynamic development subsequently”, noted the representative of the press service.
According to his words, the parties stated that the level and the scope of commercial-economic and financial-investment relations are not actually corresponding to the potential of the two states. Agreement has been reached on having the fourth round of inter-ministerial consultations to be held in 2011 in Vilnius.
