The Centre for Geopolitical Studies (Lithuania), the Institute of International Relations and Political Science at Vilnius University, and the Institute of Public Affairs (Poland) organized the conference “Poland and the Baltic States – a New Community of Interests?” on 24 November 2015.
The Institute of Public Affairs conducted the opinion polls in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia on the opinion of the four societies about the current international and regional affairs. During the conference the most important and interesting results have been presented and discussed, including the opinion on mutual relations between the four countries, results of the EU integration, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, NATO bases and reception of refugees.
The aim of the Project was to identify similarities of interests and views of Poland and the Baltic States and understand how these common interests could contribute to the mutual assistance on international issues.
