Russia and India signed an agreement for the supply of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems. The contract was signed after the meeting of President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the BRICS summit in Goa. Following the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi signed a series of agreements in the military-technical sphere at the BRICS summit in the state of Goa.
In particular, an agreement was signed on the supply of anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 "Triumph" and the production of Project 11356 in the interest of the Indian Navy frigates.
“We are establishing a joint fund contributing $500 million each for investing jointly with Russian companies and the Fund in India”, - said General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev.
The holding company "Helicopters of Russia" [Вертолеты России], which is part of "Rostech", reported to "Interfax" that the agreement with India provides for the production of 200 helicopters Ka-226T during the period of nine years.
The joint venture creates a holding company together with "Rosoboronexport" and India's HAL Corporation. The first 60 helicopters, according to the holding, will be made in Russia, while in the future it is planned to organize the production of 140 helicopters in India.
Also, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund of India signed an agreement according to which a joint investment fund of $ 1 billion shall be established.
