In Lithuania the amount of 110 thousand Euros was collected at a concert in support of the ATO fighters and residents of Donbass (39)

2017 01 17

On 13 January a concert "Together to the victory" was held in Lithuania, where the audience decided to support Ukraine's defence and donated 110 thousand Euros.

Concert in support of the ATO military and the residents of Donbass took place on the Day of Defenders of Freedom of Lithuania against the Soviet troops that stormed the Vilnius television centre and the Parliament in 1991, reported IA "Vchasno".

The initiator of this charity concert was the Lithuanian volunteer organization «Blue/Yellow», founded by the Lithuanian-Swedish documentary filmmaker Yoans Ohman.

During the concert "Together to the victory" video messages of the Ukrainian military to the Lithuanian people in connection with the events of 13 January 1991 in Lithuania were broadcasted on special screens. Video-references of soldiers were taken by the "Blue/Yellow" volunteers at the most "hot spots" of Ukrainian front line while escorting "Blue / Yellow" humanitarian convoys in Donbass.

During the concert Lithuanians donated 110 thousand Euros in support of the Ukrainians.

"The collected amount of money, donated by the Lithuanian people during the concert, will go to the accounts of the "Blue / Yellow" organisation providing full support to Ukrainian soldiers, their relatives, orphans, their mothers, and war-affected local communities in Donbass", - announces the website of the main Lithuanian channel, which aired the concert - LRT.

The concert was also attended by Ukrainian soldiers who undergo the course of treatment and rehabilitation in the hospitals of Lithuania, as well as senior military and political leaders of Lithuania, and the Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Yatsenkivsky.
